As UI Designer and Developer (m/f) you can shape the frontend of the ArangoDB open-source database. We believe in human-centered design and aim to deliver the best user experience possible to our users. Hence, we are seeking someone who can not only code, but who has our final user (Developers, DB Engineers etc.) in mind with their design.

About the Role

  • You engage in developing a fresh look for our ArangoDB database User Interface
  • You brainstorm, design, wireframe and deliver user interface recommendations with an open ear for our community and clients
  • And work closely with others to develop and implement the final results into the User Interface of ArangoDB
  • To provide constant user experience improvements you analyze usage patterns and listen for feedback
  • You will also have the opportunity to work on other related projects
  • Collaboration in branding and the development of style-guides is also on your desk

Your Skills

  • Frontend development experience with an eye and interest for design and UX
  • Experience with TypeScript or JavaScript (APIs, performance profiling, building and maintaining modular components) and knowledge of modern JavaScript frameworks (ReactJS, Meteor)
  • Passion to create an easy-to-use interface for a complex database world
  • Frontend development experience (HTML5, CSS) and an affinity to backend development
  • Experience with ArangoDB or other Databases would be a great plus
