Exactly for that reason we are looking for an experienced C/C++ developer with a solid algorithmic background (regardless of language) and deep understanding of computational complexity theory. As a part of a dynamic team, you will work on the core of ArangoDB in the heart of Cologne (Zülpicher Platz).

You will be working on:

  • Developing ArangoDB database further, designing new algorithms or parallelizing existing
  • Optimizing performance and improving transaction management
  • Working on the implementation of Consensus protocols
  • Expanding the network interfaces is also part of your key tasks
  • (Optional) Presenting on international conferences and user groups
  • (Optional) Supporting our open source community with your expertise

You should have:

  • At least 3 years of intensive development experience with C/C++ (we are using C++ 11)
  • Solid algorithmic background (regardless of language)
  • Very good in-depth knowledge of Computational complexity theory
  • Experience with parallel processing and optimization for modern multiprocessor servers
