ArangoDB is an open-source, highly scalable Graph Database with Multi-Model capabilities. In addition to graph, it is natively supporting a number of data-models including Document, and Key-Value as well as Full-Text Search and Retrieval. It serves as the scalable backbone for Graph-Analytics and complex data architectures across many different industries. Developers can build high-performance applications using a convenient SQL-like query language or JavaScript extensions. Oh, and did we mention it is open source?

To help deliver the value of ArangoDB to potential customers, our team is looking for a talented, motivated Account Executive (DACH) to join us. You will be in charge of all steps in the sales process for the commercial versions of ArangoDB to our Enterprise clients in Europe, especially Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.

About the Role:

  • You establish new accounts along the US East Coast and uncover opportunities at existing ones
  • You deliver presentations and high-level demonstrations to potential customers to highlight the value of ArangoDB for their use cases
  • You work closely with Technical PreSales, Marketing, and Customer Success to help prospects uncover the benefits of ArangoDB to drive the adoption rate
  • You travel to customer sites as appropriate
  • You maintain the sales pipeline, log your daily activities in Salesforce and track interactions with prospects and customers

Your Skills:

  • You are a self-motivated, independent individual, who likes tto learn and become productive fast
  • You have 5+ years of software sales experience in a deep tech field like databases, cloud and/or open-source software
  • You bring at least 2 years of experience closing deals to the table
  • You are more of a marathoner than a sprinter: Long sales cycles don't make you sweat
  • You have already been successful at enterprise software sales selling IT/ infrastructure into technical user base & VP-level and managing key strategic relationships
  • Superb relationship building skills and the ability to understand and show the value of our product ArangoDB to clients
  • You enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and being part of a team

Location:

All candidates in European time zones will be considered. This is a permanent working-from-home role. Availability to travel within Europe is required.
